Many TAXI members have been signed by this Publisher with nothing more than great demo recordings - they love finding really good demos that sound like they should have been a hit back in the day, but never got signed or released! This Publisher is interested in finding music that sounds authentic to the time period. Lyrics that avoid references to specific names, dates, times, places, brands, and profanity are recommended, but not an absolute necessity. Instrumentation in the general wheelhouse of the reference tracks will work best for this pitch (think piano, guitar, bass, drums, etc.). Please send original Easy Listening/Adult Contemporary songs that were recorded between 19, that sound like they could be heard on a playlist with the reference tracks! Your submissions should have memorable choruses, catchy melodies, compelling lyrics, and well-performed female vocals. The recording quality is not expected to be on par with today’s broadcast quality, so you can submit old masters OR old demos.
